Coast Guard searches for overdue fishermen

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard is searching for Reece Tisdale, 37, and Judd Johnson of League City, Tx. who were reported overdue after they failed to return to their launch point in Biloxi, Miss, Friday, Oct. 31, 2008.

The Coast Guard recieved the report of the overdue fishermen at 9 p.m. from the director of the Red Fish Championship, in which the men were involved. The men were scheduled to return to Biloxi at 3:30 p.m. after transitting to Baptist Collette, La.

The Coast Guard has launched the following assets in response to the report:

• a HH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter and crew from air station New Orleans
• a HU-25 jet and crew from Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala.
• a 41-foot response boat and crew from station Gulfport
  
• a 33-foot response boat and crew from station Venice

The vessel the men were operatiing was a white hulled, 21-foot, center consol pleasure craft with black trim.
