Coast Guard provides acquisition update, budget brief
WASHINGTON — Members of the press are invited to participate in a media roundtable with senior leaders of the acquisition and resources directorates scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Jemal Riverside Building, 1900 Half St. SW, Rm. 11-1129, here.
Assistant Commandant for Acquisition, Rear Adm. Gary T. Blore, and Assistant Commandant for Resources, Rear Adm. Keith A. Taylor, will provide updates on the following topics: the National Security Cutter project, Sentinel-class patrol boat/Fast Response Cuter, the acquisition directorate's latest step toward achieving full operational capability since moving from the Systems Integration Program Office, and details of the Coast Guard's fiscal year 2009 budget.
