Coast Guard Commandant and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard testify on U.S. Coast Guard FY 2011 budget

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Coast Guard Commandant and the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard testified at a House of Representatives Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee hearing about the Coast Guard’s budget for fiscal year 2011, Thursday.

The subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., received the testimony from Adm. Thad Allen and Master Chief Petty Officer Charles Bowen, in which both detailed the Coast Guard's budget for fiscal year 2011 and provided an update on the state of the service.
