CAMP PENDLETON, CA -- U.S. Coast Guard Lt.j.g. Vince Jansen, an HH-60 Jayhawk pilot from Coast Guard Sector San Diego, fires from the 50-yard line during the slow fire phase of the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet Pistol and Rifle Matches. The slow fire phase consists of firing 10 rounds in 10 minutes. 13 Coast Guard marksmen from the west coast participated in this year's competition held at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The matches are held each year in May and are open to all service members, however only Navy and Coast Guard members compete for medal awards. (Official U.S. Coast Guard photo by Lt. j.g.
