Coast Guard responds to fuel spill in San Diego Bay 

SAN DIEGO -- The Coast Guard is responding to a fuel spill along the Embarcadero in San Diego Bay.  The spill occurred at 9:15 a.m. this morning during a fuel transfer aboard the yacht Princess Mariana.  The owner of the yacht reported the spill, and the Coast Guard, California Fish and Game, and the Harbor Police responded to find approximately 30 gallons of fuel in the water. 

As of 12:30 p.m., the spill was contained, and the Coast Guard is overseeing the cleanup being performed by a contractor.  The Princess Mariana is homeported in George Town, Grand Cayman.
