SEARCH FOR MISSING PERSON OFF OF SAN DIEGO COAST

SAN DIEGO - U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego and local Navy assets respond to overdue vessel off of San Diego Coast.

Local family members reported 56 year old male did not return home after boating trip around 7 pm last night. CG and local Navy assets responded to last know area and found vessel unoccupied and adrift. CG responded with the CG Cutter Sea Otter along with a CG HH-60 Jayhawk helo to execute search patterns in the effort to locate any survivors.  CG cutter and helo have been searching throughout the night with negative results. Search efforts are still being conducted and will continue throughout the day.
