USS Chung-Hoon rescues sailor _ PIC #1

A Coast Guard C-130 Hercules aircraft, from Air Station Sacramento, provides logistical cover for the USS Chung-Hoon during the rescue of a distressed sailor in the Pacific Ocean. A small boat from the USS Chung-Hoon, a Navy destroyer based in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, monitors the sailing vessel Camerra. The USS Chung-Hoon rescued the lone sailor, Mr. William Peterson, on June 11, 2005, when his demasted, 40-foot sailboat was more than 800 miles off the California coast. SAN DIEGO - MAY 14, 2005 - This 21-foot powerboat was used by two men in an attempt to transport more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana from Mexico to the United States. SAN DIEGO - MAY 14, 2005 - This is the forward storage area, on a 21-foot powerboat, where two men attempted to smuggle more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana. Officers from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard apprehended the men. More than 70 wrapped packages of marijuana were found in the boat's forward cabin and under the stern seats.
