SAN DIEGO – The Coast Guard responded to a boat fire off the coast of La Jolla, Calif., the morning of Friday, July 23, 2010 after receiving numerous reports from people in the area. The Joint Harbor Operations Command received the first report of a boat on fire at 10:55 a.m., and launched a rescue helicopter and diverted he Coast Guard Cutter Haddock to the scene.
