'Deadliest Catch' captain visits Sector San Diego

Coast Guard, Border Patrol intercept suspected migrants
SAN DIEGO – A panga boat used in smuggling suspected illegal migrants is moored to a pier at Coast Guard Sector San Diego June 9.  Coast Guard and Border Patrol members intercepted the suspects near Dog Beach in Del Mar, Calif.  Border Patrol agents took 19 suspected migrants that had come ashore into custody. Coast Guard Cutter Haddock intercepted the southbound panga with three more suspects aboard. The panga was towed to Coast Guard Sector San Diego, and the suspected illegal migrants were turned over to Border Patrol agents. (U.S. Coast Guard photo/PA3 Henry G. Dunphy)
